PTLG

The Precision Therapy Logistics Gateway project (PTLG) is a collaboration between at.las, Air Cargo Belgium, Brussels Airport and Pharma.Aero focused on strengthening the supply chain related to precision therapies

Belgium has built an excellent reputation worldwide as a region for pharmaceutical innovation, supported by a strong manufacturing sector and specialized logistics services. The Covid crisis illustrated the strength of our excellence in both areas; vaccines were produced in Puurs, Belgium in accordance with the highest standards and on a large scale, and then delivered worldwide under the proper conditions via Brussels airport.

With the PTLG project, we want to test the reliability of the current logistics model (with an eye on temperature control, timeliness, traceability and monitoring) on the one hand, and introduce new internationally recognized logistics standards for precision therapies on the other, thus supporting and further facilitating pharmaceutical innovation. This will allow us to maintain our strong position as an international hub for pharmalogistics. By establishing a robust and reliable logistics model, this project contributes to the significant economic and technological position of our country and places Flanders firmly on the map as an international pharmaceutical and logistics innovator.
